Ecatenate Builds Webfleet and Salesforce Integration for Vtec Solutions

Two systems hold two versions of the same truth. The CRM knows what was agreed — the account, the contract, the commercial terms. The telematics platform knows what is actually out there: which devices are installed, on which vehicles, under which contract. Keep them apart and they drift, quietly, until the gap surfaces as a missed renewal, a billing discrepancy, or an account manager in a meeting who doesn’t know what the customer has.

Ecatenate has built a system for Vtec Solutions that keeps the two aligned, synchronising device and contract data from Webfleet into Salesforce account management.

What it does

The integration uses the WEBFLEET.connect API alongside the Salesforce REST API to flow device and contract information from the telematics platform through to the account record it belongs to.

The commercial view and the operational reality then come from the same data, without anyone maintaining the link by hand.

Why it matters

  • Renewals in view — contract dates sit where the account team already works, rather than in a separate platform
  • Billing that matches deployment — invoiced units reflect what is genuinely installed and active
  • Account conversations with the facts — the customer’s actual estate is on the record before the meeting
  • No manual reconciliation — no exporting, comparing and correcting between two systems
  • Scales with the installed base — growth adds devices, not administration
